2009 december atelier B
In 2009 our ever active 'group of four' focused on the 'Kaasmarktschool'. This is a complex of studios threatened by plans of the local government to expel the artists and fill the building with expensive appartments. B. is part of this still vital artist community and works here since 1985. All of us have been working there often since 1995. This year we were drawing his studio every week so its details will never be forgotten. But of course we hope to see them in vivo for many more years.
On show here is a small selection of my drawings, each one 20x20, watercolour, pencil and paint.
If you're wondering about the animals: they are created in this studio by Renee Janssen, eventually they will be beautiful bronzes waiting for a new owner.
